Today's Sufficient Grace

 Isaiah 28:5–6 (ESV),

"5 In that day the Lord of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people, 6 and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate."

In the context of Assyria's destruction of Israel and the pending doom of Judah, God promises His people that trust in Him, protection. "In that day" is a phrase repeated in Isaiah's prophecy over 40 times.  It's a day when the Lord brings judgment on the rebellious and preservation and peace upon the remnant -- the true people of God.

Christians can always take encouragement from this principle.  Now matter what the context, the child of God can say, "In that day .... the LORD of hosts will be glorified and respond in perfect righteousness."
